Château Pavie is a prestigious vineyard in the Bordeaux region of France. It produces one of the world's most famous and best-loved red wines, Château Pavie-Decesse.
Château Pavie is located in the village of Saint-Emilion, on a hill overlooking the Dordogne valley. The vineyard covers around 28 hectares and produces mainly red wine from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
Château Pavie is known for its rich, powerful style of wine, with aromas of ripe red fruit, cedar wood and truffles. The wine is aged in oak barrels for many years before being bottled and marketed.
Château Pavie has enjoyed many periods of glory throughout its history. It was classified Premier Grand Cru Classé A in 1954 and has received many other distinctions over the years. In 2012, it was promoted to Premier Grand Cru Classé A+, making it one of the most prestigious wines in Bordeaux.
